Hello everybody,
exactly, there wasn’t a lot of “buzz” around Vihe Ledström lately. But WE WERE NOT ASLEEP. Ahaa … as a matter of fact we are working hard on new songs. Some people say I shouldn’t release too much information … so I won’t. Still, freeing a little bit information is crucial to keep the Vihe zeal alive. That’s why … we would like to present you one of the songs which will figure upon our next album. Here’s ::::>
THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE on SoundCloud
The lyrics are based upon a 14-18 (World War 1) poem by Siegfried Sassoon. This poem is called “On Passing the New Menin Gate”. Here are the lyrics:
Who will remember, passing through this Gate,
The unheroic Dead who fed the guns?
Who shall absolve the foulness of their fate, -
Those doomed, conscripted, unvictorious ones?
Crudely renewed, the Salient holds its own.
Paid are its dim defenders by this pomp;
Paid, with a pile of peace-complacent stone,
The armies who endured that sullen swamp.
Here was the world’s worst wound. And here with pride
‘Their name liveth for evermore’ the Gateway claims.
Was ever an immolation so belied

Beste vrienden en liefhebbers van Vihe Ledström,
Vorige week kregen we uitstekend nieuws van StuBru. De song “Dream Architect” werd namelijk in het systeem van StuBru geplaatst. En dat is voor ons al heel wat. Aangezien we als Vihe ook 100% achter MusicForLife staan, willen we jullie hulp bij deze erg graag eens inroepen voor het volgende:

Dear Friends,
We reached a new little mile-stone this week with our new EP release called [ 3LECTRIC ]. This release represents the previously announced remixing of 3 songs from the EP “The United States Of Dreamerica”.
These songs remixed by Dirk Da Davo from The Neon Judgement are more refined. Dirk did a great job in fine-tuning and balancing the different composants of “Montana” and “War (Is The Father Of All Things)“. The song “Dream Architect” did undergo some more important remixing or even “re-working” as the extended mix by Dirk gives the song a more clubby and catchy side which will be appreciated by night-owls and dream architects … 
It was also an opportunity to have a look at both the design of our official web page which we gave a thema-look related to this release. But most important probably is that we published the songs on Bandcamp instead of MySpace. We’re using too much words here … Our new EP “‘3LECTRIC” is to be found here: http://viheledstrom.bandcamp.com
These remixed songs were mastered by Dimitri Dewever from CMS productions. Thx Dimitri!

Friends,
If you like the demo-songs from our EP called [The United States Of Dreamerica], we have good news for you. We give away 10 of these demo-CDs (except for the postal charges). Nevertheless, you will have to:
- let us know why you appreciate Vihe Ledström / if you do so
- let us know which song you prefer and why
- give us your e-mail address as well as your postal address
The first ten contacts (giving a reasonable motivation) will receive the EP. If you live in Belgium, the postal charges are around 2,5 EUR. Outside Belgium … well … that depends of course.

Although we are working with Dirk Da Davo (Neon Judgement) on the (re)mixing of the songs from our EP [The United States Of Dreamerica], we are also making significant progress with new songs. The first song of a new serie of songs we are working on is called “Hold The Tanks”. We’ll keep you up to date.
At least one more time, we will refer to the “World War” theme. Just to make things very clear here: we DO NOT support war. But in some cases … it’s the only way out (cfr WW1 & WW2).

And yet another song called [War Is The Father Of All Things] will be mixed/improved by Dirk Da Davo from “The Neon Judgement” as well. Together with [Montana] and [Dream Architect] we will then have three songs which are clearly improved by DDD. Nevertheless, the nature of the songs will remain authentic while having this little extra which makes listening so much more interesting. Thx Dirk !!
We’re looking forward to the mixed version of [War Is The Father Of All Things] !

As already announced via our FB & MS pages, the mixing of both [Montana] and [Dream Architect] has been finalised by Dirk Da Davo from “The Neon Judgement”. Both songs became more mature and contain some fine-tuning details which might be very appreciated by our friends and fans. We have not yet decided when these fine-tuned songs will be published. But it is hard not to go public with them right now …
